Here at the conference there are lots of references to the use of clickers for student responses in classes. Basically students all have a clicker and questions can be asked and then students polled. Many describe this as a way of getting responses from students so you can engage more students and get a sense of how many students are understanding a concept. You can either go over it again and re-poll or move on to the next concept. However, I found an article in one of the references lists that talks about software that you can use so students can use their mobile phones etc... I think Greg Carey also has some knowledge of this.... so I am going to explore this...does anyone at Flinders already do this....and can we get students to participate by using their phones or ipads in class...get them off facebook for a while lol...anyway would love to know the experience of others using non-clicker...clicker technology. ...on other words clicker technology using mobile phones etc.
